Athena Computer Power Corp’s AP-U1ATX30P8 is one of their recently revamped power supplies for IPC use. This server power supply now includes the Active PFC function and is rated at 80PLUS bronze certified efficiency. Equipped with dual 40mm ball-bearing fans strategically placed on the rear and front of the power supply, exhaust generated heat from the core of the server/system. This smart auto fan controller will detect heat levels within the server/system and adjust the fan rotation accordingly, helping reduce energy use and noise levels. Maintaining their policy of “True Green Power” Athena Power has brought efficiency to their 1U server line.
Active PFC and Full Range Input
The Active PFC and Full Range function provides a smarter PSU. Able to detect the differences of wattage that is needed to power up your system, you can be rest assured as it will provide and maintain the most suitable power needed.
Dual Fan
With its dual fan features located at the front and back of the power supply, the rear fan intakes the heat that is produced inside the system and pushes it through the front fan. This design allows the power supply to be able to take 100% of the heat that is generated by the interior system and pushes it out of the server/system. While some other PSU fans work differently, this dual fan design is targeted to maintain a reliable source of power and keeping the system cool. Some may second guess this dual fan feature because it will increase noise volumes, but with its thermal fan speed control it will detect the amount of heat generated by the computer and spin accordingly.
Smart Auto Fan Speed Controller
Thermal fan speed control will detect the amount of heat generated by the computer. Using the speed controller to detect heat levels, it will automatically adjust the fan speed accordingly and the need to worry about heat levels, of a PSU, becomes almost non-existent.
